What's a hangi?
A hangi is a celebration for the maori.
And fest underground.
They will have them on special a cagans like matariki.

Dig a hangi pit
Stack wood and irons or large stoens inside the hangi pit.
Light fire burn for 3 hours-3 and a half hours.
When wood is bundt to embers remove all contents from hagi pit.
Placing back into hangi pit the red hot irons or stones.
Putting hangi baskets on top of irons or stones.
Speard cabbage leaves over hangi baskets.
Cover with wet sacks.
Shovel on dirt on top of shacks to stop steam escaping.
Sea tightly.
Wait for cooking to finish 3 hours-3 and a half hours.
